Ferndale Park - park area | City of Boroondara

The Ferndale trail walking path runs through Ferndale Park linking the Gardiners Creek and Anniversary trails.

Casual bookings

You can book a grass area in the park for your exclusive use.

We require at least 5 full business days notice.

April to October: 8 am to 6 pm.

November to March: 8 am to 8:30 pm.

Public facilities are free for all park visitors to use. They are not included as part of a booking.

The timber playground is built into a hill and features a cubby house, 4 swings, fireman’s pole and monkey bars.

Content components

The car park is off Glen Iris Road.

The venue is 1.3 km from Burwood train station. The 612 bus stops right beside the park (Valley Parade/Glen Iris Road).

Space	Fee
Alexandra Gardens, Canterbury Gardens, Surrey Gardens	$170 per hour (includes exclusive use of the rotunda). Commercial hire fee $1800.00 per day.
Central Gardens, Wallen Road Reserve and Maranoa Botanic Gardens	$170 per hour. Commercial hire fee $1800.00 per day.
All other parks and gardens	$170 per 4-hour block. Commercial hire fee $1800.00 per day.
Event bond	minimum $200

If a vendor is supplying any equipment, they need to provide public liability insurance.
